River Float Parade 27th July 2009

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

One of important event assignment in July this year was to cover the River Float Parade during the 218th Ruler’s Conference and Sarawak Regatta. Under the umbrella of Alvin Leong Photography, I was not only shooting the event, but gained good experience as coordinating-photographer. It was a totally different experience cause I had to coordinate with 3 of my teammate(photographers) and also 3 member of video crew covering the event for that night. It was a great night, and an honour for me to be able to work side-by-side with my friends and team members. You all did a great job! Looking forward to shooting as a team again in the future. Special thanks to Alvin Leong too for his guidance. Here are some photos I shot during the event.

Prudential Welcome Dinner

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

Last July, I was involved in a few event shoot under Events Horizon. Prudential was having their mid year conference in Kuching, and prior to the conference, they had a Welcome Dinner at the Grand Margherita Hotel poolside. It was a 3 days event shoot for me, starting with Kuching Waterboard 50th Golder Anniversary Dinner photoshoot the day before.

Workstation migration

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

My workstation gave up after many years of service. While searching for what specs to buy for the new system, I was lucky that one of my friend offered me a very good deal for a new PC. It took me almost one full month to get it up and running, and I still haven’t fully transfered all the important data from the old hard disk to the new system.

Besides wedding shoot, one of the interesting job in July was to cover for the River Float (218th Ruler’s Conference) and Sarawak Regatta.

More to come next week, stay tuned.

Treasures Of The Rainforests Photography Challenge and Conference 2009

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

I just can’t find the words to describe the experience I’ve learned from the Treasures Of The Rainforests Photography  Challenge and Conference 2009 (TOTR) at Batang Ai this June.

There are so many photos to share, and I will start off with this posting.

Being a wedding photographer, continuous learning is a lifelong journey. I faced tough challenges just to attend this workshop, but all the hard work is well worth the effort.

I was so delighted to meeting 8 professional photographers (speakers of the workshop) who tirelessly guided participants about the tips and tricks in photography. They are so humble and ever so willing to help. 4 days 3 nights is just too short for me.  Here are some of my favorite shots taken during the workshop.
