This is the 2nd part of the pre-wedding album. First one is here. When our team (Georgette, Peggy, Alan and Maggie) reach the location, we are a bit worried that there might not be enough sunlight to get a proper shoot but when we get to the inside the small forest, I was surprise with the opportunity this place have for nice photo shoot. Enjoy the album below.

p/s: Shen was unable to join, but he got something better installed for him.. he was at Louis Pang’s workshop. =)

This is the first album of Anna which was taken around MASJA compound and DUN area. Initially the theme was supposed to be office wear but when Shen, Allen and I saw Anna dressed in her casual wear… we concluded that she will look nice in picture too.  So instead of a pure office wear theme, this one is a mixed of casual and formal.

After a short breakfast at Fat Cat, we heads off to our first location. Anna was very easy-going and it was a blasting session. She’s very good at showing facial expression, from funny to serious to sexy in one pose… even my camera’s continuous burst mode is not fast enough to capture the sequence (maybe I need an upgrade).

This pre-wedding is based on the trash-the-dress concept, which is common in the Western countries.

Most couple want their wedding experience to be a memorable one, one that last a lifetime. Alan wants the photo shoot to be different, not the usual studio shoot which is very commercialise in Kuching. When Georgette & I suggested the theme to them, I was a bit worried that Maggie or Alan might reject it. Few days after the proposal, I got so excited when Maggie came to me saying, yeah this is a good idea… lets do it. Georgette is the brain of this whole project.

Since the theme is trash the dress, no bridal shop is going to let us trash their dress, so everything has to be DIY.

Maggie’s dress is made entirely from scratch. The mastermind behind the dressmaking is Peggy. She is an architect but has a very good talent in making dress out of nothing. With the help from Georgette and Maggie, the end result of the dress is magnificent. The material is bought from used cloth store, and the bag used in this shoot is an old antique bag that belongs to Maggie.

The bouquet is also hand made, too bad I forgot to take closeup of the flower.

Please check out Georgette’s posting here.

Shen and I worked as a team to capture this very special moment.

Here is the first part of the photo shoot, 2nd part coming soon

There are many ways how one can send a wedding invitation card. Ben and Shirlyn’s wedding invitation card is not paper, not card, not the traditional methods but they are using e-card which comes in DVD printed with their wedding photo. This is one high tech wedding =)

Here are some of the photos taken.

There are plenty of gifts for the bride… most of them are red in colours.

Happy bride

In many Chinese weddings, the groom has to go through a series of “obstacle” before he is allowed to enter the bride’s house.

Shirlyn specifically asked me to take photos of this beautiful wedding decoration.

A “reward” for jumping on the bed.

The curtain cast a beautiful lighting.

I was at the Kuching Bloggers Meet yesterday. It was hosted at Sharing Planet with free flow of drinks and finger food. The aim of the meet is for the bloggers to interact with each other in person. So I was excited to meet new friends and also to put faces to those regular blogs that I usually read. Being a photography enthusiast, I offered to photograph the event for Jimmy & Irene.

It was nice and fun night, besides enjoying taking all those candid shots, I was assigned as one of the judges for the King and Queen Blogger of the night. The best part is being able to meet all the bloggers in person.

Below are some of the photos taken during the night.
