Pinky and Paul’s Wedding Day

November 30, 2008

GALLERY

Congratulations to Paul and Pinky on their wedding day.

I woke up at 2.30am, ate breakfast and heads off to the bride’s house. Looking for the house during the day is easy compared to early in the morning. After making 3 wrong turns, I managed to find it.

Pinky, like her name, even ordered pink flowers for her bridesmaid. When the groom arrived to pick up the brides, guess what do they have to drink? See if you can guess from the photos in the album.

Highlight was bridesmaid vs groom’s entourage. Later, in the groom’s house, what they(bridesmaid) did was quickly reversed… a strong cocktail and some dancing was promptly planned before they were allowed to rejoin the bride in her room.

Lots of fun, laughter and crazy games… I really enjoyed the photoshoot.

Jesseyln and Rodney’s pre-wedding session was done is 3 locations in Kuching. As usual, my shooting style is more focused on the image and personality of the couple rather than posing the both of them in all the photos. Jesseyln and Rodney is so natural in front of the camera. The session was easy going, the presence of their dog, April makes the whole session even better and unique. April is cute, friendly and she loves the camera.

First session was shot somewhere near Travillion, with the second and third shot around Santubong area.

It was a pleasure being able to shoot this session with the both of you! I am looking forward for the beach session and your church wedding in December.

Bugaboo

November 11, 2008

Being a fan of Transformers, I love gadgets that is related or function like one.

Last Thursday, Poppies launched their latest baby stroller, the Bugaboo at Silhouette, The Spring. Unlike normal stroller that I’ve seen before, this is indeed a special stroller of it’s own class. I’ll explain why in the later part of this post.

At a glance, the first thought that crossed my mind was this is a simple stroller. Indeed, it is lightweight, cute and compact, full of useful and ergonomic features. The baby seat can be both facing front and back.

The Bugaboo Bee is like a automobile, it has 4 independent wheel suspension with 4 adjustable ride suspension. Robert, the gentlemen from Bugaboo who demonstrated the strollers even sat on it… yes that’s how strong the stroller is!

It can be converted into a 2-wheel mode too, good for sand or snow terrain. Nice to bring out to the beach.

The detail is just too much to explain here, for better experience, go try it out yourself at Poppies.

Meanwhile, here are some of the photos taken during the event.

One kick is all you need to open the stroller from this position

The best part I like is the 30 seconds of Bugaboo video from it’s website, see if you can find it or not.

Emails and Weddings

November 8, 2008

Please forgive me if I reply your email a bit late. I usually reply all inquiries within 48 hours but due to increasingly busy shooting schedule for November and December, I might reply it slightly late than usual.

Please let me know if you did not receive reply from me after 3 days. If somehow my email finds its way into your spam or junk bin, I can always resend. I am in the process of getting a mobile number specifically for web contact also.

Meanwhile, here are two photos from Poppies Bugaboo stroller’s launch and a pre-wedding session I took this week.

Minex Jewellery Launch

November 3, 2008

Have you been to an event not knowing what you are going to see? I was invited to the Minex Jewellery product launch last Saturday, all I expected to see is the launch of a few diamond rings and gold necklaces and some talk.

But I was wrong.

When I arrived at the Hilton Kuching that afternoon, a glance at the stage gives me the hint that there might be some fashion show or catwalk, with beautiful models parading the priceless diamond jeweleries. I was right at that part!

The event kicks off with models dressed in elegant dress wearing jeweleries followed by a talk by Mr. Benjamin, the owner of Minex Jewellery.

Benjamin explaining the Minex Jewellery trade-in program.

The highlight of the event is the launching of Minex 100% Jeweleries trade-in program for diamond and coloured gem products.

All jeweleries bought from Minex from November onwards can be traded in at 100% of the actual price, and you only need to top-up the balance to get a brand new jeweleries. This is a good offer, cause to me it means I can get a bigger diamond, everytime I make a purchase, without losing the value of my used jeweleries that I trade-in. To put it simple, upsizing made easy.

After the talk, the real show began, with beautiful models wearing diamond and gold jeweleries doing their catwalk on the stage and around the ballroom.

Here are some of the photos that I took during the event.

There are 2 branches of Minex Jewellery in Kuching, one at Tun Jugah Shopping Mall and another at Boulevard Mall. The contact number is 082-258089.
