When I met Jesseyln and Rodney for the first time together with Shen in Kuching, I knew their wedding is going to be a special one. Jesseyln is a careful and a good planner. Rodney is sporting. Jesseyln took a lot of effort to plan every little detail of the wedding, from the invitation cards, florist, photographers to the wedding dinner. Bridesmaid’s dress are custom made, bestman’s wore “uniforms”, that really turns out good in photos. I am impressed with her little “book” that holds everything related to the wedding too.

On the actual day, Shen took off to Rodney’s place while I heads off to the hotel to meet Jesseyln.

As usual, eager to try new technique while maintaining those that I usually use… I can almost picture the outcome of most of my shots.

From pre-wedding, portraiture to actual day photography… there is another wedding event that I like. Which is the wedding dinner / reception. There are many things to photograph during the wedding dinner beside the usual grand entrance, toasting and cake cutting that is a “must shoot” during the event. This is when I get to see through my viewfinder, hundreds of people sit together… with hundreds of candids opportunity. It’s not just normal candid, but those that tells a story. When the bride and groom look back at the photos taken, it brings back fresh memories of the event itself.

Sharon and Peter’s actual day wedding was celebrated in Peninsular Malaysia, and they came back to Kuching for the wedding reception at Sarawak Chamber, Crown Riverside.

During the day, we took a quick 15 minutes portrait session around their house compound, and another short session at Kuching Waterfront right before the wedding dinner.
