Foong Ling and Chen Siong

March 10, 2009

Actual day wedding photography is full of challenges and excitement, there are moments to be captured everywhere. Just to cover a key area, prompt decisions need to be made for what to shoot and where to stand. You just can’t miss the important shots. For example, during a tea ceremony, the newlyweds are anxious to serve tea to their parents/relatives… the photos of the couple serving tea to the parents is a MUST. At the same time, one must plan how to captureĀ  – the candid moments happening around the ceremony – all this happens in split second. A simple tea ceremony, can be the test of reflex and aiming skill. Of course, that’s when I appreciate lens that is fast and focuses snap on onto the subject. I always create different angles and views – covering as much angle as possible. Ok, enough of some technical talk. Below is a photo gallery of Chen Siong and Foong Ling.

Working in Singapore, Chen Siong – from Malacca and Foong Ling – from Kuching emailed me if I am up for the challenge to be their photographer for a simple tea ceremony and wedding reception. It was an honour to be able to capture their important day, even if it is a simple one. Here are some shots from the ceremony.
