Louis & Elizabeth’s Wedding Ceremony
Tuesday, August 30th, 2011I am 21?
Sunday, May 31st, 2009What’s your age? Someone asked when I was taking a stroll at a shopping mall with my family. I jokingly said 18. She gave me a weird look. Then few days later, more people are asking for my real age. This happens because I was featured at a blogger’s column at Breeze magazine issue 16.
As the official photographer, I didn’t expect to be featured there… when they asked for my details, I thought it’s just for the record. However, I am glad that I was featured here, in this magazine. What excites me most (though it’s some error done by the editor) was my age and DOB. My actual DOB is 1st Jan… I’ll leave it to you to guess my birth year.
I wish I could provide them with a better article.

Irene and Timothy’s Wedding
Sunday, April 26th, 2009Tim and Irene’s actual day was celebrated in Hong Kong last week. Tim is from Hong Kong. For the bride’s (Irene) side , the wedding reception was celebrated at Kuching, Sarawak. The reception was at Hilton Hotel.
The dinner itself was based on the Hong Kong Night theme, with lot’s of lantern decorations all around the area. Most of the relatives are also dressed in Cheongsams and Chinese costume, it’s a special dinner indeed.
There was a lot of event, credit goes to Ivy, Irene’s sister who is the official wedding planner for the whole event.
Here are some of my favorite photos.

Liew Chin and Sze Chung
Thursday, February 12th, 2009What drew me into wedding photography? It’s pure accident actually, photography has been my hobby for many years. As a kid, I played with my father’s Pentax SLR camera, then I asked for a compact film to play around when I was in primary school. Photography took a halt when I worked as a lecturer at a private college after I graduated. I slowly pick up photography again in the year 2006, that was with a Nikon L1, a compact camera.
Photographing landscape, scenery is my favorite then, until a friend asked me if I would like to cover his wedding. I told him that I don’t have a proper camera for the job. He borrowed me a Fuji S5500 (if I am not mistaken) – a prosumer camera. Not knowing how to use Fuji camera, I brought along my Nikon L1 with me. That’s when I fall in love with wedding photography.
Though not directly involved in the event itself, I feel oblige to capture the best and important moments of the event itself. Somehow it just come naturally in me – and I can feel emotions that runs throughout the wedding. It’s a different kind of feeling, being able to freeze the moments of the couple, and when they view the photos later, it brings back the vivid memories to them.
Sze Chung and Liew Chin (Christina)’s wedding saw me partnering with my friend Shen as usual. Shen starts off to the bride’s house while I went over to Sze Chung’s house. At his house, all the “brothers” are there already but was eagerly waiting for their “job assignment”. Seeing this, Sze Chung brought out his pre-wedding photo album for them to view. That’s when the laughter starts, according to them, the groom’s smile is something like cut and paste throughout the album. You’ll see what I mean later when you view the photos. Both the bride and groom have such a perfect smile, it just makes you smiles back without knowing it. I had fun shooting their wedding. Here are some photos to share with my readers.

Mei Leng and Danny’s Wedding
Saturday, January 24th, 2009Meeting up with the bride and groom before the actual wedding day has always been my practice. Why? Besides breaking the ice (if I haven’t meet with the couple earlier), this is the time where the couple and I discuss about the flow of event during the wedding day. Understanding more always helps.
I was engaged by Mei Leng and Danny about 6 months ago. We met for the first time at Jin Hold (actually translated to Golden River/Gold River) apartment right after I returned from Bintulu from shooting a wedding there.
On the wedding day, Danny and his buddies arrived ahead of schedule. Entering the room is an easy task but to get to the bride is the tricky part. A few riddles must be solved, most of the riddles contains hints related to Mei Leng. It only took a while for Danny to solve it all. Way to go Danny!
After the Kuching wedding, Mei Leng and Danny had another reception at Penang. My friend from Penang, Hayashiartz was engaged by Mei Leng (yes she is from Penang) to cover their wedding reception there.
